2017 Conference photos

 

The 2017 PANZ conference was held on 24th and 25th July at Rydges Latimer, Christchurch.

The conference included papers on a range of population-related issues and analyses such as population change, Maori and ethnic populations, migration, health, education, labour market, identity and community change.

Daniel Clarke of the United Nations, ESCAP, presenting on ‘Demographics and disasters in transition’.

Dr Andrew Butcher presenting  ‘New Zealand Crime and Victim Survey – why it is important’.

Panel discussion: Dr Natalie Jackson and Emeritus Professor Dick Bedford discuss the ‘Pros and cons of the rapid increase in New Zealand’s population’.
